My name is Victoria, a born and raised Angeleno who attended Woodbury University for fashion design. Growing up, I had responsibility pushed onto me with the advent of my younger sister’s diagnosis of Angelman syndrome. It wouldn't be an understatement to say having these experiences affected how I view the world. In addition, being Armenian and coming from a family of genocide survivors has also come with life challenges that I express through my work and art. Overall I’d say I value human connection and chosen bonds. I hope to form a connection with those who feel the similarly.

I hand-construct garments inspired by my interests, upbringing, and beliefs that keep me going. Hvy Wthr subscribes to the philosophy of being true to yourself. I do not believe in making items that already exist; from that realm I strive to create pieces people will cherish.

I create a variety of garments from elegant blouses to punk-rock denim. Binding my work is a sense of ephemera; most evidently in my denim pieces centered around a custom haphazard dyeing technique ensuring no pieces are identical. I view my customers as individuals with stories and hold what they wear should reflect such.
